Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Deva Poultry Farm ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our business clients, partner farmers, website visitors, and farm staff. This Privacy Policy covers two separate services:

  • The corporate website at devapoultryfarm.com, open to the public.
  • The Deva's Farm mobile application for iOS and Android, a private workforce tool used only by our own farm staff.

Sections 2 to 7 describe the mobile application. Sections 8 and 9 describe the website. Sections 10 onwards apply to both.

2. About the Deva's Farm Mobile Application

Deva's Farm is an internal operations application used by Deva Poultry Farm employees to record daily attendance, complete assigned shed tasks with photographic proof, and maintain flock and batch production records across our sites.

The application is not open to public registration. There is no sign-up screen. Accounts are created by a farm administrator and issued to a named employee, who signs in with their registered phone number and a farm-issued six-digit access code. Only people who work at Deva Poultry Farm can use the application, and they use it in the course of their employment.

3. Information the Mobile Application Collects

The application collects the following categories of information. All of it is used to operate the farm; none of it is used for advertising.

  • Account information: Your name, mobile phone number, assigned role (Admin, Head Supervisor, Supervisor or Labour), and the sites and sheds you are assigned to. This is entered by a farm administrator, not by you.
  • Attendance records: When you check in or check out, the application records the date and time, a photograph taken with the front or rear camera at that moment, and your device's GPS coordinates at that moment. This exists so that attendance reflects presence at the farm.
  • Task submissions: Tasks you complete, the time you completed them, any readings or notes you enter, photographs you capture as proof of completion, and the GPS coordinates recorded at the time of submission.
  • Farm production records: Batch and shed data you enter, such as bird counts, mortality figures, feed and water consumption, and average weights. This is business data about the flock, not personal data about you.
  • Device information: Your device brand, model and operating system name, together with a random identifier that the application generates on first launch and stores on your device. This identifier is created by the application itself. It is not your device's advertising identifier and it is not shared with anyone. It is used so a farm administrator can see which device an account is signed in on and can reset that binding if a phone is lost or replaced.
  • Session data: A sign-in token held in your device's secure storage, and your chosen app language.

4. Device Permissions the Application Requests

  • Camera: Used to take attendance check-in photographs and photographic proof of completed tasks. Photographs are captured inside the application at the moment of submission. The application does not read, browse or import your existing photo library.
  • Location: Used to attach GPS coordinates to an attendance check-in or a task submission. Location is read only while the application is open and only at the instant you submit. The application does not track your location in the background, and it does not follow your movements between submissions.

Both permissions are requested at the point of use and can be declined or later withdrawn in your device's system settings. Withdrawing them does not prevent you from opening the application and viewing your records, but attendance check-in and photo-proof tasks cannot be completed without them, because a check-in without a photograph and a location is not a valid record.

5. What the Application Does Not Do

  • It does not track you across other apps or websites, and it collects no advertising identifier.
  • It contains no advertising, and it shows no third-party ads.
  • It does not sell, rent or license any data to anyone.
  • It does not use third-party advertising, marketing or behavioural analytics services.
  • It does not access your contacts, calendar, microphone recordings, health data, or existing photo library.
  • It does not monitor your location in the background or while the application is closed.

6. How Mobile Application Data Is Used

Data collected through the application is used only to run the farm:

  • To confirm that staff were present at the correct site at the correct time.
  • To verify that assigned shed and biosecurity tasks were actually carried out, using the attached photographic evidence.
  • To keep flock, feed and mortality records for each batch, and to produce operational reports from them.
  • To keep task lists synchronised in real time between supervisors assigned to the same shed, and to deliver urgent tasks issued by an administrator.
  • To calculate payroll and attendance summaries, and to resolve disputes about work performed.

Your attendance records, task submissions and submitted photographs are visible to farm administrators and to supervisors responsible for your site. They are not published, and they are not visible to the general public or to other organisations.

7. Mobile Application Infrastructure

Application data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections to servers operated for Deva Poultry Farm, and is stored there. Real-time task updates use an encrypted socket connection to the same servers.

The application uses Expo's over-the-air update service to deliver application updates. When checking for an update, the application contacts Expo's servers, which receive standard technical request information such as the application version and platform. No attendance records, photographs, location data or farm records are sent to that service.

8. Website Information Collection

We collect minimal information required to facilitate B2B communication, process orders, and handle partnership applications:

  • Contact Inquiry Details: When you submit our business enquiry form on the Home page, we collect your full name, business email, contact phone number, chosen enquiry type, and detailed requirements.
  • Website Cookies & Analytics: We utilize basic cookies and web logs to monitor traffic patterns, check site loading speeds, and improve page layouts. These cookies do not collect identifiable personal details.

9. How We Use Website Data

We process collected records strictly for internal commercial operations and B2B communication:

  • Responding directly to your wholesale egg, day-old chick, live broiler, or organic manure inquiries.
  • Evaluating contract farming partnership requests for agricultural zones in Western/Central India.
  • Coordinating product deliveries and logistics schedules.
  • Optimizing website performance and formatting.

10. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do NOT share, rent, sell, or lease your contact information, your attendance records, your photographs, your location data, or your requirements with third-party advertisers or marketing networks under any circumstances.

We disclose data only where we are legally obliged to do so, for example in response to a valid order from a court or a competent government authority, or where disclosure is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

11. Data Storage & Security

All information submitted through our contact forms and through the mobile application is transmitted securely via encrypted HTTPS protocols and stored on secure database servers. Sign-in tokens are held in the operating system's protected keychain or keystore on your device. We enforce administrative and technical controls, including role-based access, to prevent unauthorized access to or loss of records.

12. Data Retention & Deletion Rights

We retain business inquiry logs for as long as necessary to process B2B supply agreements or maintain client relationship histories.

Attendance records, task submissions and the photographs attached to them are retained as employment and food-safety records for as long as required for payroll, audit and regulatory purposes, and are then deleted.

To request deletion of your account and associated personal data — whether you are a website enquirer or a current or former member of farm staff — write to privacy@devapoultryfarm.com from your registered email address, or ask your farm administrator to raise the request on your behalf. We will confirm your identity, then delete your account and personal records within 30 days, except where a specific record must be retained to meet a legal, payroll or food-safety obligation. Where a record must be retained, we will tell you which record and why.

13. Children's Privacy

Neither the website nor the mobile application is directed at children. The mobile application is a workplace tool issued only to employed adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16.

14. Your Rights

You may ask us to confirm what personal data we hold about you, to provide a copy of it, to correct anything inaccurate, or to delete it, subject to the retention exceptions described in section 12. Requests should be sent to privacy@devapoultryfarm.com and are answered within 30 days.

15. Policy Revisions

We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically to match changes in data security laws, website updates, or mobile application functionality. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. We encourage you to inspect this page frequently to stay informed of our data protection policies.
